Explorative Digital Methods is a bachelor-level course taught at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) for approximately 150 students. The course introduced fundamental principles of parametric design using Grasshopper, in which students developed a parametric building layout responsive to multiple design parameters. The course combined digital modelling with physical prototyping through the production of a laser-cut model and explored the use of artificial intelligence as a complementary tool for generating visualisations and floor plan representations.
